"Exhort one another every day, as long as it is called ‘today,’ that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin ... and let us consider how to stir one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another..."

Hebrews 3:13; 10:24-25

Our adult small group ministry
K-Groups get their name from "Koinonia," the New Testament word for fellowship that is used specifically of the relationship that exists for those who have fellowship with God, and therefore, fellowship with one another. Simply put, to be united with Christ in faith is to also be united with other brothers and sisters who are united by Christ in faith. These small groups are designed to foster authentic relationships and friendships within the church, providing opportunities to know one another and to be known by one another.
Purpose

We recognize that discipleship and sanctification are not individual processes, nor were they ever intended to be worked out in a vacuum. Rather, in God’s perfect plan for the church, all believers are members of one body, and therefore, are dependent upon one another. We need consistent encouragement from each other in order to persevere in the faith and live lives characterized by love and obedience to Christ.

Our K-Groups are not intended as a replacement for our Sunday worship, which we at ADBC believe is the apex of our “meeting together” to hear the Word, sing the Word, pray the Word, and preach the Word. Nevertheless, we believe small groups are an excellent way to facilitate the mutual encouragement, care, and service that Scripture calls the local church body to practice toward one another with the goal to see the body nourished and built up in love and to provide a testimony to the world of our authentic discipleship in Christ.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

– John 13:34-35
